It happens in Florence.
Every year, the night before Saint John's day, thousands of people run through the streets full of monuments of Florence.
Some of them are professional runners, others just at amateur level.
This year, more then two thousand people have signed up to the race. Around 1.5oo people for the 1o km race, and other 1.000 for the stricktly amatorial race (4 km).
The race started from the Baptistery of Saint John and ended there. Here is a short video about it: the 73rd night marathon in Florence - June 23rd 2012.
